Why StumbleUpon is bad for your Niche Site

Have you wondered why your CTR is so low on your niche sites after you submit it to the social bookmarking sites? If you are submitting to StumbleUpon, let me tell you why I think it is causing problems with your Adsense CTR. I have tried SU a couple of times with my niche sites, and it suddenly dawned on me what was happening.
Let’s take a quick look at what I think is going on, just from personal observation and SU experience.

Your Niche Market is All Around You

Recently in a post on BloggerUnleashed, Vic talked about how you should be using Your Local Niche Market to make a killing on search related topics. Then Court brought out his niche market Keyword Sniper Case Study for search terms on Colorado Lasik surgery.
So, what’s my point? Well, it seems like the local niche market is a good one. From just a few searches that I have done on potential niche markets in my area, there is some competition, but not lots.

Niche Marketing and SEO

If you are already running a Niche marketing campaign or are about to embark on a Niche marketing campaign, one concept you cannot afford to miss out on is search engine optimization (SEO). SEO is one of the most popular words in Niche marketing but unfortunately most Internet marketers simply do not know enough about SEO to make this strategy work for them.
