BANS review and Free Templates

One of the things I have been messing with lately has been some BANS niche sites. This has been keeping me busy lately, so I apologize for not writing much.

I have found that once you get the hang of a Build a Niche Store (BANS) site down, you can have one up and running within about 10 minutes. I have been experimenting also with mixing new domain names with BANS to match the niche versus existing domain names that might be a close match.

So far, it hasn’t mattered much. In the last month of using BANS, I have had one eBay signup ($25) and several sales that have created about $50 total for me so far. Now, this might not sound like much, and it isn’t compared to others, but this is pretty good for me.

I am working on a more in depth review of BANS also, so check back in the next couple of weeks, or just sign up for my RSS feed to stay up to date.

I have about 12 BANS sites, and 8 of them are new domains. So, it will take a little time to get them indexed and in position on the SERP’s.

Anyways, I have created two templates also for BANS. I took the Keyword Sniper template from Court and the Prosense template and have modified them to work with BANS sites. Feel free to download them!

BANS review and Free Templates | Blog Explosion dot NET…

BANS! That seems to be a popular term today. Build A Niche Store is a popular and growing way to make money online using a simple software program to sell eBay items. How does BANS work? It’s really simple. You set up a site, plug in a template a…

Hey Elliott,

Great to hear from you again!

I know what you mean, I’ve had my head buried in BANS for the last few days. I have my first site up and working and I’m happy with it so far. Its on a new domain that just came active today…and of course I’m disappointed that there has been ZERO organic traffic yet (does the “watched pot” adage apply to traffic too?)

As for the templates, does one seem to be working any better than the other?

Take care and talk to you again soon!

Thom,

I can understand what you mean about new domains, just takes a little time and some well placed backlinks. I have also had some success with article directory submissions that are targeted to the niche.

As for the templates, I am using several different ones, including a couple that come with BANS, but no real difference so far as I can tell.

Hi Elliott,

I love the idea of BANS and have set up a lot of sites using eBay software that I got for nothing - it does the same thing pretty much. I can hear you swearing already LMAO!!

Now I bet you’re curious as hell…

Hey Elliot,

I think most of us niche guys that have been regulars at Vic’s are also working with Bans. I’ve only go three going so far with ‘light’ sales. I’m looking at it as though it’s practice before the switch from CJ to eBay (for commissions). Also been a bit busy at my bookstore. I hope to start putting up one a day.

Where are you buying your domains?

Bruce, I have about 15 BANS sites so far, and I have done ok with them so far. Some have decent CTR, others a hit here or there. I have also had about 4 signups so far.

As for domain names, I have gotten quite a few from GoDaddy auctions and have had pretty good luck with them. I have also used eBay, but those are going away since they are getting rid of digital product sales, from what I can tell.

Let me know if you need more info about GoDaddy auctions.

Thanks for the update using real example.

I’m still waiting for my eBay id(new). I bought a few domain from GoDaddy auctions too. Did you get more result(traffic) with those versus new domains?

Steve, I have had mixed results so far with new and used domains. If it’s used, I try to find a domain name that reflects the niche…hopefully something with page rank and not banned from google. As for new, register one that reflects the niche, seems to work pretty good so far for me.
