Bookmarking Demon One Month Review
When I first purchased Bookmarking Demon, I was a little skeptical about how it would work. So when I first wrote about Bookmarking Demon First Impressions, I promised a one week and a one month review of BMD. I missed the one week review as I was still learning the software and getting used to using it.
But, here is my one month review of Bookmarking Demon.
Let me begin by saying that I am not going to reveal my sites that I have used BMD on, and these stats that I am going to share with you are not researched in the fact of I didn’t look at how many have come from my BMD efforts versus other link methods, like comments, etc. I have quickly scanned the results of these sites and I can say that it is pretty impressive so far.
Since purchasing Bookmarking Demon, I have not used it everyday. It is usually once, maybe twice a week that I will fire it up and run it. I have created 5 account names for BMD that I am using. I am, on average, putting about 3 to 5 URL’s in each “run” of BMD, and I am not using all 5 accounts when I make a BMD to avoid looking spammy. I can’t guarantee your results, but from what I am seeing, this was a purchase worth making.
Having talked to Vic, Court and Grizz about how Google works their back links, I can tell you that I haven’t seen much yet for Google. Apparently Google is really picky with how it sees back links. They really need to be relevant to your niche. Also, Vic has said before that I can take a few weeks to several months before you will see anything from Google at times.
To gauge these results, I am using the SEO Quake toolbar for Firefox. Enough with the small talk, lets see the results!
Niche Site #1
This is an existing domain name that I purchased a about 1 week prior to buying Bookmarking Demon. It was a PR 3 and had only 5 backlinks pointing at it in Yahoo. It is still a PR 3 after the recent update from Google.
- Yahoo Links - increased from 8 to 69
- Yahoo Link Domain - increased from 9 to 89
- MSN Links - remained at 0 (picky bastard!)
When I reviewed the links result page, there are a lot of them coming from the BMD sites. One important thing I need to follow up on is to make sure that each account is set to show the links publicly. Apparently some of the sites are not set automatically to show the links publicly, and therefore they won’t show up as links.
MSN is apparently like Google and is rather picky with what they choose to pick up.
Niche site #2
This niche site is a pre-existing domain name that I picked up about the same time as niche site #1. It had no PR, and absolutely no links to it at all.
- Yahoo links - began with 6, increased to 179
- Yahoo link domains - began with 314, increased to 653
- MSN - still at 0
Conclusion
There is a substantial increase in Yahoo back links, but for Google, I am still waiting. I’m not sure if they have changed something to where they don’t give weight or recognize social sites anymore for back links or what.
From a time saving standpoint, BMD is simply amazing. I can take about 10 to 15 minutes, set up a run, click to run it and walk away or do other things. When I was manually submitting, it would take a long ass time, and I’m sure you know what I mean, to do it manually. To submit a post to the same sites that BMD has, it took me over 1 hour to complete. That was flying and having several windows open at once.
The nice thing about Bookmarking Demon is it has a randomizer built into it. You can submit a URL, it will automatically populate your title, keywords, description, etc from your page. You can then modify and add to them easily, click randomize, and it will automatically populate the fields when submitting to each site. This will help spread out the submissions from a standpoint that they aren’t so random.
BMD has a built in proxy searching and usage system to avoid all of your submissions coming from one IP address. It also has scuttle site search and submissions as well. Read more Bookmarking Demon Tips to learn a little more about avoid spammy submissions.
There is a lot of great things about Bookmarking Demon that I can attest to, some of which I won’t give away here as I don’t want to ruin the software in and of itself. If you have any questions, please let me know. I would prefer that you use the contact form, but you can also use the forum to ask questions in as well.

Bookmarking Demon One Month Review | Blog Explosion dot NET…
One of the hot software packages for niche marketing is Bookmarking Demon. What is Bookmarking Demon and how can it help get back links? What can it do for your site and how will it help promote your niche?I finally bought Bookmarking Demon about…
Google will index all the links eventually they are just slow they give priority to relevant daily information links. Now because you do not see the link index it does not mean that it has not been indexed, remember Google does not show everything. One place you can see all you inlinks is in Google Webmaster Tools but if this is an MFA or MFY I would not put it in there

I learnt that too that Google only doesnt show the links. But sometimes, they really dont index the links. The longest you’d have to wait is about 1 and a half months if I’m not wrong. If its not there, then maybe you gotta try again :p
I’m still skeptical about BMD only because it looks rather black hatty with registering so many accounts and stuff (I dont know how it actually works so excuse me). Still waiting for more reviews

I’m finding Mister Wong to be problematic. My bookmarks keep being set to private for being spam. I’ve decided disable Mister Wong from bookmarking and will submit by hand in a month’s time.

April, I found the same thing on quite a few of my sites. I’m not sure why as only a couple of them are marked private, and all the rest are public. Strange, but it goes to show that it doesn’t hurt to check on your accounts.
Yeah, BMD sounds pretty interesting. Not sure if there are google commands to find out other scuttle sites. Im sure they leave behind some kind of footprint.

The problem is BDM submits succesfully to 12 big social sites and couple of useless scuttle sites. To the rest of social sites I have to submit by hand
Eddie,
I know that the newest version to come out will be having a complete overhaul of the program, so hopefully it will work better with the big sites. As for the scuttle sites, I have gotten quite a few backlinks from them, so I wouldn’t say that they are completely useless.
I’ve been looking at using bookmarking demon, but I wasn’t sure how well it worked.
Are the links you’ve built, using the anchor text you set and are the links dofollow link?
Also do you know whether the links last or are temporary. If they stick and have a permenant presence, then this would be excellent.

Hey,
Nice review. I’m a happy customer of bookmarking demon and give it two thumbs up!
Hi!
i have few sites i use book marking demon , i started using it recently .
I created five accounts, there are 963 bookmarking sites i guess. i AM NOT SURE WHY but i have found that Bookmarking demon doea not create account in many social site , I get below written message;-
“Account was not successfully added”.
I would appreciate if any one can help me in this .
Moreover i have used created accounts , i am facing the same problem for Google, Not getting good reflection from google so far.
Please help me out in this matter.
Thanks!
thanks for your comment. you will find that sometimes it won’t create accounts automatically. this can be for several reasons, whether the site has changed something, captcha failed or what ever. if the site is a good one, it might be worth taking a couple of minutes and creating the account manually in order to use it. sometimes also the software can cause issues as the bookmarking sites do change quite often, so make sure you are running the newest version.
as for the reflection from google, i am assuming you mean backlinks? it does take time to get them indexed, so don’t give up! give it a month or so and check again. i actually use yahoo for my backlinks checking because they show all links and aren’t picky like google is.
