Local Niche Support Site Page Update
First, thanks to everyone that sent emails and left comments about my daughter. We are home now, but she is still on oxygen and other stuff to help clear up the pneumonia that she has. I will post an update later today about her condition on her site.
Secondly, I have updated the Local Niche Support Group page with some more entries for the local niche sites. Take a look, there are some great sites coming along.
What method would you all like to keep in touch? Would a forum here work? Password protected page? Let me know some ideas about how to improve the local niche support group.
Let me know some ideas, and for those that I promised I would help with things, give me a few days, I haven’t forgotten, but just been a little busy and away from the computer. I will try and send you an email, and will review your sites with suggestions.

Local Niche Support Site Page Update | Blog Explosion dot NET…
The local niche site support group page has been updated for the most recent submissions. Take a look at the local niche sites that are currently on the list. There are some nice ones!
The local niche site support group is also looking for input in …
Glad to hear Natalie is pulling through alright. You and yours are still in my prayers.
It really sucks what is going on at BZ. I wondered what was happening. I thought I had gotten a virus on the computer that I was on where I work during the day.
As far as my local niche blog. I am definitely not understanding how to set up the template as you can see from looking at my site. I think a forum would be a great idea.
I did finally get Skype but the only one who has been available is Monika and our hours are so different. It is hard to make contact with my 12hr work schedule.

Thank you for the prayers. I will take a look at your site and send you some suggestions to fix the coding. I was also worried about what was going on at BZ as I have been having some issues with access (to many queries lately) for google and other sites.
Thanks Elliott for helping me out!

I think a forum would be helpful.
I made a separate page on my site called ‘local international’ and gave everybody a link. If everyone on the list did this, we’d have quite the local news cross-linking support going on.

I do have you and a couple of oyhers on my blogroll, but this is a much nicer idea!

I love your featured article spot on the top. How did you do that? Also do you take all your own pictures?
My daughter says I need more pics on my site, but I don’t want to grab just anybodys picture.

My partner and I take the pictures, except for one which I got from http://search.creativecommons.org/
You can find pics there that you can use as long as you give credit. Just be sure to read the license agreement type.
The featured article spot is part of the WP Magazine theme which I paid for. There is a link at the footer of our page if you want to go check it out. There are a lot of themes for magazine style blogs for sale out there, but I liked this one because it seemed to have more tutorials to use it with.

Great info Tim! I have found several sites that I use pictures from for my site, I need to post something about how it all works.
Thanks for the post idea!
Got my page set up for “Local News Around the World.” Hope everyone is pleased with what is on there. If not just contact me and I will change it for you.
I think this will definitely help everyone.
Still need help editing my template.

That’s a great idea Tim,
I liked it so much I followed suit and posted my own links page on my site with everyone’s blog in Elliott’s list linked to - here’s the link (if Elliott doesn’t mind me posting it):
Local Niche Community
Elliott, I’m glad to hear Natalie is going to be fine. Thanks for putting my site up on your list, I’ve linked back to that page from my local niche link list page.
I think if we all put up a similar page we’ll really be helping each other out as well as advertising each other’s blogs for anyone who might be planning a visit to the areas!

I don’t mind at all, actually I was going to put one up on my site, just haven’t had the time yet. Thanks for the thoughts about Natalie too! She still has pneumonia and it hasn’t cleared up yet, but we are working hard on trying to keep her out of the hospital.
I am working on getting us a forum or something set up to allow for easier communication amongst the members, so I will let everyone know when it is up and running.
Elliot,
Brain storm here!!!! I see we are getting quite a list of local bloggers. Can I ask you to change the BZ link on each of our bloggers, so when you click, it goes to their submitted page instead of their profile. It would really make our job of link love much easier!!!!
