Bookmarking Demon First Impressions

There has been a lot of talk about Bookmarking Demon lately on my recommended blogs that you should read. Vic at Blogger Unleashed has ranted and raved about the power of it, Grizz has talked about it and there has been other comments left about the power of Bookmarking Demon.

So, after spending another four hours the other day putting my pages up to the social bookmarking sites, I was convinced that it was at least worth a shot and see what happened. After all, it’s got an eight week satisfaction guarantee or my money back, so what do I have to loose, right?

bookmarkingdemon.jpgI went to the Bookmarking Demon site and went through the quick and easy purchase process, and downloaded it right away. Quick and simple. Now, fortunately, other software that I am using required .NET 2.0 so I was set for that part. If you don’t have it, you can get it by visiting the Microsoft .Net 2.0 Download site (this is for x86 downloads).

I immediately installed the software, and while having it opened up, I watched the introductory videos that are on the Bookmarking Demon site once you download it. Great stuff! The longest part of the process was the creation of the accounts. Now, don’t worry if you already have a one or a few accounts, you can manually add them into the records. This was one question I had, and I was able to add them into Bookmarking Demon easily.

The part that took the longest time was getting each new account set up, and “installing” my existing sites. But once that was set up and I finished watching the other couple of quick videos (each less than 5 minutes) I was able to begin bookmarking my first sites.

Now, so you have something to compare what I am talking about, I had been using SocialPoster.com and a couple of other sites that I had on my toolbar. It took me over 4 hours to go through each site and set up an account! With Bookmarking Demon, it only took about 15 minutes! Talk about a time saver!

Once it was installed and set up, I picked out a couple of my better posts, and a couple of my niche sites to submit using Bookmarking Demon. Within 15 minutes, I had submitted about 5 posts to each of the newly created sites with Bookmarking Demon. Now, if I had been doing that all manually, it would have taken me about 8 hours or so of frustration and typing, etc. to get it done.

The nice thing about Bookmarking Demon is that it will automatically randomize your titles, keywords and summary for you, and it can pull that information right from your URL.

I am sold on Bookmarking Demon, not only from the SEO and Niche Marketing promotion aspects of building back links, but from the time saving aspect of it. Now I won’t have to stay up late at night or miss spending time with my family to bookmark my pages anymore!

Vic, Grizz and Court, thank you for recommending this!

You’ll have to let your readers know how your traffic was effected on the few posts you submitted. I’m sure everyone will be interested.

Just out of curiosity, why did you choose Bookmarking Demon over AutoSocialPoster … or do you use both? (I’m going to purchase one or the other … leaning towards ASP at the moment)

Thanks,
Todd

Todd,

I went with BMD by recommendation from Vic and Grizz. I knew that they both recommended it, and for my first “investment” in my niche sites, I was wanting a recommended program that would allow me to be able to lean on the experts that were using it.

As for ASP, I’m not sure about it, need to look into it a little more. I might consider it one day down the road.

Todd ASP has 2 issues is that you have to create accounts manually especially in adding scuttle sites and the second you can only use it with wordpress. BMD is cheaper and you can use it with Squidoo, BANS Blogger etc etc etc…

According to yahoo! site explorer this post only has 20 inlinks. i would have expected many more if you used bookmarking demon to promote your post. what gives?

lol…great insight Ed! I haven’t been using BMD for bookmarking this site, and several of my other sites. The way I use it is to bookmark my niche sites and their posts. I also bookmark my article directory submissions, when they are approved.

Using Yahoo site explorer, some of my niche sites have thousands of bookmarks and other links coming in to them from using BMD. I also use a tiered system of sites to help build inlinks, of which the method I learned from Griz at make money online.

If you aren’t sure how the tiered system works, you build your own network of sites to help with PR and links.

This is a really good review. It’s only a first glance so I think there a couple of things that were misguided. However, I will agree with you that the automatic keyword tool is one of the best things that bookmarking demon has to offer. I’ve been using it for 30 days and that is my favorite feature (besides for the backlinks obviously). I modeled linkers blog like your review and did an initial review and a 30 day review.
